Bringing Dreams Alive through 360° Therapy

DREAMSHIP STUDIOS

The Challenge

The primary mission of DREAMSHIP STUDIOS is to “bring dreams alive for children, families and those toward end-of-life through virtual reality.” Founder Hannah Luxenberg creates distraction therapy videos by shooting interactive 360° landscapes with integrated animation and sound healing features. Immersing individuals in the emergency room or in critical care with this “distraction therapy” content diverts patients’ brains and attention away from linking their physical pain and immediate surroundings.

Having used Ricoh Theta’s 360° camera in the past, Hannah needed better resolution and increased depth of field to truly create immersive and all-encompassing therapeutic content for patients. Hannah sought the KODAK PIXPRO SP360 4K VR Cameras that enabled her to create the quality therapy content for patients as well as keep up with the production and demands she was facing.

With the SP360 VR cameras by her side, Hannah effectively envelops patients in calming and engaging therapeutic scenery, providing an alternative means of therapy and a method for coping with emotional and physical pain through the power of virtual reality.

The Solution

  • KODAK PIXPRO SP360 4K VR Cameras
  • Animation and sound healing
  • VR headset

The Results

  • Immersive therapeutic 360° content
  • Less active pain-receptors in patients’ brains
  • Distraction for patients in unfortunate and uncomfortable circumstances
  • Fulfilled last wishes for patients nearing end-of-life

“The camera is the perfect size for shooting on the go, impeccable low-light performance and high video quality with no stitch lines. After such a great experience with the KODAK PIXPRO team and the stunning footage from the SP360 4K VR Cameras, I continue to use the cameras for my ongoing production needs.”
